CMS Released Final List of Participants for New ET3 Model

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced the final 184 participants approved for the Emergency Triage, Treat, and Transport (ET3) Model.

March 16, 2021 – The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced the final 184 participants approved for the Emergency Triage, Treat, and Transport (ET3) Model. This alternative payment model encourages more flexibility after a 911 call. The ET3 model is available in 36 states and includes local governments, their designees, and alternative entities that operate 911 dispatches in areas that have been approved for participation in the model.

In addition to announcing the list of finalists for the ET3 model, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity for up to $34 million over two years that is designated for governments expanding emergency and non-emergency medical triage services.
